Pipestem Waist

My first corset had no pipestem, but my current corsets do. I have a satin one (waistline of 19'') with a 1'' wide pipestem and a rubber one (waistline of 17'') with a 1.5'' wide pipestem. It took some time to get used to them, but now I don't have the least problem wearing my corsets with pipestem waists. I don't think that it's more of a problem to wear a corset with pipestem than to wear one without. The main problem is to get accustomed to a corset or to a pipestem. If once it has become a habit with you everything is fine. Do I make myself clear? I find it difficult to explain things in a foreign language. Please tell me if I make mistakes that have the effect that you don't understand what I'm trying to say.

A pipestem corset is to form a long waist. As I already said I have two corsets one of which is of satin and the other is of rubber. The pipestem itself is a firm tape around the waist made of a very firm material. I don't know how it is called. The pipestem of my satin corset is 1'' wide. That means that there's a 1'' wide tape firmly laced around the waist. It forms a 1'' wide waist. In other words: the smallest part of the corset (and of the body) is at least one inch wide (vertically). The pipestem of my rubber corset is about 1.5''.
